Inspiration
To aid in saving the lives of children who are born with birth defects
What it does
It shows 3D models that will help surgeons identify birth defects and train on how to resolve them
How we built it
We used a mix of python and blender 3d models to create a program that allows the user to access 3d models of body parts in a simple and effective way
Challenges we ran into
Lack of experience with coding, time constraints, overly ambitious
Accomplishments that we're proud of
The program displays the 3d models with effectiveness, and has a high quality drop down menu that works to yield great results
What we learned
We all attained some valuable coding experience, especially Ian and Nathan who have never used Python before
What's next for MedSim Surgical Project
If people are to take inspiration from our program, it could be used to teach surgeons how to operate these delicate procedures, if the code is to be expanded on.
