💊 About MedSafe
Medication-related problems can become difficult to manage when people take multiple medicines, use different brand names, or miss scheduled doses. MedSafe was created to provide a single, easy-to-understand platform for medication organization and safety information.
💡 What inspired us
We were inspired by a simple question:
What if a patient could enter their medicines in one place and receive understandable, evidence-backed safety information instead of relying on scattered information sources?
Many medicines are available under different brand names, which can make it difficult to recognize when two products contain the same active ingredient. Medication schedules and missed doses can also be difficult to track consistently.
This motivated us to build MedSafe – Medication Safety & Interaction Assistant, an informational medication-safety platform that combines medication management, duplicate detection, evidence-based interaction screening, and AI-powered explanation.
🚀 What MedSafe does
MedSafe allows users to:
- Create an account and securely manage their medications
- Add medication names, active ingredients, dosage, frequency, and dates
- Detect potential duplicate active ingredients across different medicine names
- Check medications for documented interaction evidence
- View the source and reference associated with interaction evidence
- Understand verified information through a patient-friendly AI explanation
- Create medication schedules
- Record doses as TAKEN or MISSED
- Review medication adherence history
- View safety alerts from their medication information
🧠 How the system works
The most important design principle of MedSafe is that AI is not the source of truth for medication interactions.
