Inspiration

During a medical emergency, every second counts. In a diverse state like Haryana, finding the right government healthcare facility, checking real-time bed capacities, verifying free scheme eligibility, or locating emergency ambulances can often be challenging for citizens—especially in deep rural sub-centers. We were inspired to bridge this urban-rural healthcare gap by creating an intelligent, voice-activated emergency triage engine tailored specifically for Haryana's official government infrastructure.

What it does

MedRoute AI Haryana is an ultra-luxury, glassmorphic web application designed for the Amazon Developer Hackathon (Alexa+ Simulated Track). It maps Haryana's complete 5-tier healthcare network—ranging from Tier-1 Apex Medical Colleges (like PGIMS Rohtak) down to Tier-5 frontline rural PHCs and Gram Panchayat sub-centers.

Key Features:

  • 5-Tier Infrastructure Mapping: Filter hospitals across 22 districts with official NHM Kayakalp Clean Hospital hygiene ratings (1 to 3 stars) and bed capacities.
  • Family ID (PPP) Integration: Secure Parivar Pehchan Patra verification to instantly unlock 100% free cashless care under Chirayu Haryana and PM-JAY.
  • Voice-Activated Triage: Use voice commands to speak symptoms or locations for instant matching.
  • Emergency Dispatches: One-touch SOS panic button and 108 emergency ambulance dispatcher with estimated ETAs.
  • Digital Priority Passes: Issue official triage tokens, view secure QR codes, and download PDF priority passes.

How we built it

  • Frontend UI: Built with HTML5 and custom CSS3 featuring an ultra-luxury "Midnight Gold & Emerald" glassmorphic design.
  • Interactivity & Logic: Powered by vanilla JavaScript handling dynamic 5-tier filtering, voice recognition via the Web Speech API, and modal state management.
  • Pass Generation: Integrated jsPDF and qrcode.js libraries to generate official downloadable PDF priority passes and instant QR codes client-side.

Challenges we ran into

  • Complex Data Structuring: Mapping Haryana's 22 district HQs, sub-divisions, tehsils, and 5-tier hospital hierarchy into an optimized, fast-loading JavaScript database.
  • Scheme & Hygiene Alignment: Accurately mirroring official NHM Kayakalp hygiene ratings and Parivar Pehchan Patra (PPP) income thresholds for free healthcare eligibility.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

  • Successfully mapped all 22 districts and 5 tiers of Haryana's government healthcare network into a seamless, fast UI.
  • Built an end-to-end working pipeline that verifies Parivar Pehchan Patra (PPP) Family IDs and generates real QR-coded downloadable PDF priority passes.
  • Created a highly accessible, voice-first interface suitable for high-stress emergency situations.

What we learned

We gained deep insights into public health administration in Haryana, mastering client-side PDF/QR code generation, and designing accessible, voice-first interfaces for high-stress emergency scenarios.

What's next for MedRoute AI Haryana

  • Integrating live IoT hospital bed feeds and direct GPS ambulance tracking integration with state health dispatch centers.
