Inspiration
Grandparents often forget or struggle to remember to take their necessary medication. We wanted to help our loved ones remember their life-saving medication.
What it does
The app allows a user to input medication along with days to take the medication. A user is then notified about the medication they must take that day. After two hours, if they have not checked that they took the medication, a family member or caretaker will be notified to check in with the user.
How we built it
We built the app with Flutter, Google single sign-on, and Google Firebase. We also have a display website for users to learn more about the app and a link to install it at medminder.tech
Challenges we ran into
We initially tried to use MongoDB Atlas, but continually ran into technical problems so we decided to proceed with Google Firebase instead.
