Inspiration
Recently My Uncle got removed his Wisdom tooth. So before the surgery when he was going for that check-up the doctor asked for his previous reports. Through which the doctor would analyze the previous condition of the Tooth. But my uncle's careless habit of not filing the report made him lose the report.
So From There, I got the idea. What If I create an application that can store the medical record. It can solve the problem of people who don't have the habit of filing Medical Reports. It would help Doctors as well to diagnose the patient by seeing the patient's medical history.
What it does
MedRec is a WebApp. A stop solution for users to store their Medical reports. It Creates a User Profile and Stores Medical Reports including X-Rays, prescriptions, Doctor certificates and any kind of Medical Report in A File Type Structure.
Users Just Need to Scan their reports and Add in the respective File Structure They Have Created. It's As Simple as that.
How we built it
It's Built Using Reactjs, FireBase for Authentication and Data Storing, and Web3.storage for storing Users' scanned images in decentralized storage.
Challenges we ran into
As I was late finding the team. I had to hack solo. Time constraint was the issue. Other than that Implementing Firebase for Authentication was also challenging.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Developed an Architecture for the App. Built Authentication(Using context). Implemented Web3Storage for storing Data.
What we learned
I learned a lot during this hackathon. Firstly managing time, Learned Firebase Authentication. Also learned how to connect all the pieces of the app together.
What's next for MedRec
The Next Thing For MedRec Would be to create a better Data Model, improve Data Model and Then Launch it for public Use.
