Inspiration
After being tired of waiting at the doctor's office for a simple checkup, we decided to create MedMe!
What it does
MedMe is a simple, yet powerful web application which alleviates stress and opens up time slots for other more urgent inquiries, all while diagnosing simple problems.
How we built it
MedMe was built using html5, css3, and javascript and teamwork!!
Challenges we ran into
Some of the few challenges we ran into while building this web application, was the UI and time constraints. Due to the time constraints, we were unable to get most of what we wanted to get done, such as the UI.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Through the effective use of google's form API, we were able to store all information in a simple database that could be shared with anyone the doctor may want.
What we learned
We learned so much throughout this hackathon from time management to teamwork. We are both super grateful for this opportunity to showcase our skills to the world!
What's next for MedMe
Some things that are next for MedMe include, using the google maps API to accurately detect the closest doctor's office or hospital for emergency purposes and general inquiries. Additionally, we hope to display a diagnoses message to the user when they do enter how they are feeling on the online checkup tool. Lastly, we hope that one day, our website will be used in production levels, making its way into local doctor's offices, and eventually hospitals.
