MedMate

Inspiration

We were inspired by DAINAIs framework, which ended up being a big part of our project. We also were inspired by the Patient Safety Technology Challenge that our major idea of the project was based off them.

What it does

Medmate is a DAINAI service that takes in the medical record, parses through it, and then analyzes for conditions and medications, which it then searches to see what medication is used for the condition and searches conservative alternatives and compares prices, using GoodRx.

How we built it

We built it using DAINAI, Node.js, Brave API, and JS/TS. We also used many outside resources to complete this project.

Challenges we ran into

We did not have a strong plan at the beginning and had a lot to learn. Which lead to ideas that seemed possible but ended up being difficult to implement.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We ended up with a successful working project.

What we learned

We learned how web development works and got familiar with the usage of APIs. We developed our skills and learned to work as a team to develop a working product.

What's next for MedMate

We will continue to be friends, peers, and collaborators. And we will use the skills we developed in our first hackathon to keep learning and making cool projects.
