Inspiration

In this COVID-19 Pandemic, there has been a huge strain on our healthcare system in Singapore. Many frontline healthcare workers have reported a large influx of patients. As such, we wanted to pursue a technological solution to help streamline the process to not only make it smoother for doctors and patients, but can also help minimize close-interaction to prevent transmission of COVID-19

What it does

Allows doctors to easily issue prescriptions and digitally signed medical certificates to patients that can be easily verifiable by employers and teachers/lecturers. Patients can get reminders for medication and can easily keep tabs on their previous MCs should a need come to present one for attendance purposes.

How we built it

Flutter App using Firebase

Challenges we ran into

Our clients were a bit broken since we were both working on new computers, and we spent quite a sizeable amount of time trying to reinstall the relevant software and to fix the issue with our Build.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We managed to finish the entire app in 15 hours (including sleep)

Come prepared to a hackathon with a clear focus and aim in mind as to what idea you want to implement

What's next for Medly

We are thinking of implementing a pre-diagnosis system to obtain the patient's ailments or problems using Machine Learning to ask new questions, so as to speed up time for Consultations, which hopefully helps reduce the strain on the Healthcare System.
