Inspiration
MediTECH was inspired by moments of medical uncertainty when people feel anxious and unsure about what to do next. The goal was to create a calm, trustworthy companion that helps users think clearly during stressful health situations without replacing medical professionals.
What it does
MediTECH is a real-time multimodal AI health guidance assistant. It listens through voice, understands images, reasons about symptoms, and responds with clear, empathetic guidance that helps users decide their next step while emphasizing professional care.
How I built it
I built MediTECH with a React-based frontend and integrated with Gemini using AI Studio. The system processes voice and image inputs, applies structured reasoning, and delivers concise responses designed for clarity, safety, and accessibility.
Challenges I ran into
Major challenges included achieving clear voice capture, synchronizing multimodal inputs, and managing secure API access without exposing credentials. I resolved these issues through iterative testing, improved audio handling, and secure configuration.
Accomplishments that I am proud of
I successfully built a working real-time multimodal assistant that combines voice and vision in a single experience. I am especially proud of maintaining ethical AI boundaries while delivering meaningful, user-centered guidance.
What I learned
This project deepened my understanding of multimodal AI systems, real-time interaction design, and responsible AI development. I learned how to balance technical capability with trust, clarity, and safety.
What's next for MediTECH: Gemini-Powered Multimodal Health Assistant
Future plans include improving accessibility, expanding language support, refining reasoning depth, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to further enhance reliability and impact.
