Inspiration
The idea for MediTech was inspired by the struggles faced by individuals affected by breast cancer, including patients, caregivers, and their families. Witnessing the gaps in accessible and reliable information, I aimed to develop a platform that integrates predictive tools, educational resources, and interactive features to provide comprehensive support.
What It Does
MediTech empowers users through:
Predictive Models: Assesses the likelihood of breast cancer based on user data using machine learning algorithms.
Informative Resources: Provides a curated database of articles and guides to educate users about breast cancer.
Interactive Chatbot: Answers questions and provides instant support, making information accessible in real-time.
How I Built It
Backend: Flask was used to manage predictive modeling and chatbot functionalities.
Frontend: HTML and CSS created a clean and responsive interface for an optimal user experience. Machine Learning: Libraries like scikit-learn, NumPy, Pandas, and Matplotlib were used to develop and visualize the predictive models. Deployment: Hosted on a scalable platform to ensure availability and performance. Challenges Predictive Model Accuracy: Fine-tuning the models to provide reliable predictions required iterative improvements. Chatbot Integration: Ensuring theRAG chatbot could handle diverse user queries while remaining accurate and contextualized was a significant hurdle. Solo Development: Managing all aspects of the project, from design to deployment, was both challenging and rewarding.
Accomplishments
Successfully implemented predictive modeling tools and an interactive chatbot. Designed an intuitive, user-friendly interface entirely on my own. Gained hands-on experience in full-stack development and machine learning deployment.
What I Learned
Enhanced my knowledge of Flask, HTML/CSS, and Python. Learned the importance of user-centric design in creating impactful applications. Gained experience in deploying machine learning models and integrating them into real-world platforms.
