These days everyone is so busy with their lives that they forget to give time to themselves which is very important. Due to cut-throat competition in every field students are more stressed than ever and some even take big steps like suicide. Meditation is a wonderful technique to relax, reduce stress and to connect with ourselves. It also helps people to focus and concentrate better. So I feel everyone should meditate and specially students , if they start meditating from their age, this will help them throughout their life.

What it does

The meditation app, helps the person select a suitable time interval and plays a soothing background sound for meditating. It gives time intervals of 2 minutes, 5 minutes, 15 minutes, 30 minutes, 45 minutes and 60 minutes for practicing meditation and one can choose from these to meditate. Beginner meditation practitioners can meditate for 2- 15 minutes and advanced meditation practitioners can meditate for 30-60 minutes according to their convenience. This will help the students relax and will reduce their stress.

How I built it

After I completed learning HTML, CSS and JS, I thought I should do a small vanilla project to implement what i have learnt. I built it with the help of a YouTube tutorial. I took help from this tutorial:

While I was building , I realized there are still many things I didn't know and I need to learn them. So I was building the app while learning alongside.

What I learned

I learnt that we learn the most by implementing what we have read or learnt. While I was building the app I realised that I still didn't know many things so I learnt them along the way. By building this app I have not only implemented my previous knowledge but also learnt many new things.

I look forward to make it more advanced and add something more interesting and innovative to it.
