💡 Inspiration Local medical stores often struggle with managing inventory, tracking expiring medicines, and using clunky, outdated software. While building larger-scale healthcare applications like MedOS, I realized that stand-alone pharmacies don't need heavy enterprise software—they need something extremely fast, lightweight, and intelligent. I wanted to build a modern SaaS that feels intuitive and leverages AI to reduce the daily stress of pharmacists.

⚙️ What it does MediStore Lite is a complete, lightweight pharmacy management system. Its core features include:

Smart Dashboard: Provides real-time analytics on revenue, daily sales, total inventory, and expiring medicines.

Inventory Management: A clean interface to add, edit, and track medicine stock, complete with automated red "Low Stock" and "Critical" alert badges.

POS Billing (Point of Sale): A fast checkout system where pharmacists can quickly search for items, add them to a virtual cart, and calculate totals instantly.

AI Smart Suggestion: The standout feature—when a requested medicine is out of stock, the built-in AI assistant instantly suggests the best available alternative medicines with the exact same generic composition.

Admin Control Panel: Role-based access control allowing managers to set global notification thresholds for low stock and expiries.

🛠️ How we built it I built MediStore Lite using MeDo AI Builder to rapidly prototype and generate the SaaS architecture. The UI was designed with a highly responsive, modern Dark Theme featuring Glassmorphism elements to ensure it is easy on the eyes during long working hours. The backend logic handles real-time stock updates across the POS and Inventory modules, while AI APIs power the intelligent medicine alternative search functionality.

⚠️ Challenges I ran into Translating a complex workflow like pharmacy billing and inventory tracking into a clutter-free, single-page application experience was challenging. Fine-tuning the AI prompt to accurately match and suggest generic medicine alternatives without hallucinations required careful structuring. Additionally, establishing smooth routing and state management between the POS cart and the main inventory database took some extra effort to perfect.

🏆 Accomplishments that I'm proud of I am incredibly proud of the UI/UX. Achieving a seamless, production-ready Dark UI with Glassmorphism that actually looks like a premium SaaS product is a big win. I'm also proud of successfully integrating the AI Smart Suggestion feature directly into the POS workflow, making the app genuinely useful for real-world pharmacists.

📚 What I learned This hackathon taught me how to effectively leverage AI app builders to accelerate the transition from an idea to a fully functional prototype. I learned how to optimize prompts for specific industry use-cases (like generic drug matching) and the importance of immediate visual feedback (like critical stock alerts) in high-stakes environments.

🚀 What's next for MediStore Lite Moving forward, I plan to expand MediStore Lite by adding automated purchase order generation that emails suppliers directly when stock is low. I also want to integrate physical barcode scanner support into the POS system and build an automated monthly PDF reporting module for financial accounting.
