Inspiration

Students living in hostels, parents, and elderly household members routinely receive laboratory test sheets and prescriptions written in medical shorthand (Hb, 25-OH Vit D3, OD BBF, BD PC, HS, SOS) without plain-language explanations or supplement timing warnings (for example, milk calcium reducing iron absorption). At the same time, exam-year students face severe sleep debt without structured recovery checks or quick emergency first-aid steps.

What it does

Bilingual Lab & Prescription Shorthand Reader (POST /api/analyze): Evaluates key blood report biomarkers (Hemoglobin, Vitamin D3, Fasting Blood Glucose, HbA1c, Platelets) against standard reference intervals, translates nine Latin prescription abbreviations into plain English and Hindi, flags Iron + Milk/Calcium timing conflicts, and reads outputs aloud using browser speech synthesis.
Student Sleep Debt & Fatigue Check (POST /api/burnout): Computes a real-time readiness score from sleep hours, daily study/screen duration, exam stress, and hydration alongside a 4-4-4-4 breathing pacer and India's 14416 Tele-MANAS helpline details.
Campus Notice Board (GET & POST /api/community): Enables student groups and local organizers to publish HTML-sanitized notices for study groups, health checkup camps, and ORS/hydration stations.
Emergency First-Aid Reference & Private Dose Checklist: Immediate protocols for fainting, burns, choking, and snakebite, plus a local-only daily dose reminder checklist with one-click data clearing on /privacy.

How we built it

Frontend: Semantic HTML5, flat CSS3 design system (6px architectural controls, neutral zinc and clinical emerald palette, inline vector icons), Vanilla ES6+ JavaScript, Browser Web Speech Synthesis API (en-IN and hi-IN), and localStorage.
Backend: Node.js HTTP server (server.js) and Vercel Serverless Functions (api/health.js, api/analyze.js, api/burnout.js, api/community.js) with input validation and HTML tag sanitization.
Quality Assurance: Automated static audit and multi-pass end-to-end API integration test suite (npm test) verifying all 13 live routes, legal pages (/privacy, /terms), and vector favicon (/favicon.svg).

Challenges we ran into

Ensuring dual runtime compatibility so the exact same CommonJS backend API modules run both locally under node server.js and on cloud Vercel Node.js 24 Serverless Functions without external framework bloat, while keeping zero persistent storage of user lab text for strict privacy.

What we learned

Building clean full-stack client-server boundaries, writing deterministic clinical shorthand parsers with bilingual Hindi localization, and automating pre-deployment verification checks across every HTTP route. Made by-( SAMARTH MISHRA)
