Inspiration
It is a hassle to check for the OP ticket in case of emergency and we have to take new Tickets for each hospitals, this is inefficient and time consuming
What it does
It is a centralized service which holds all the healthcare data of the patients and no matter which Hospital they go to, their full medical history can be accessed by just scanning a QR ( Original implementation idea was NFC/RFID card )
How we built it
We built the Front end Using React.js and The data is stored in Firebase, Although the current execution is not secure , we have managed to build a MVP here. The backend is express js with Firebase admin SDK
Challenges we ran into
We ran into Multimedia Unsupported error when trying to implement QR code scanner, but we made it work using the legacy mode
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We managed to Complete the project more than what we expected to do
What we learned
We learned about teamwork, Qr code scanning systems
What's next for MediScan
The next step for MediScan is to implement the same in a more secure format and have NFC/RF ID/Face recognition as verification methods
