Inspiration
Last year, there was an MCSS workshop on "how to build a personal site in 90 minutes." So, as we were reminded of that idea via the Hackathon's suggested prompts, we decided that it would be a good idea to see how we could handle web development.
What it does
Our website showcases our past projects, skills, as well as some of our contact information.
How we built it
We built our website using Javascript, CSS, HTML, and React.
Challenges we ran into
We often found it difficult to find the exact solutions to our web development problems. For instance, we would oftentimes have blank white spaces below pages as well as misaligned texts and textboxes. These mishaps, in particular, costed us hours of valuable development time.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We made a functional site that is able to show off our past accomplishments
What we learned
Front-end development can be equal to, or even harder than, back-end development, especially when one doesn't know where to look for answers.
What's next for Mediocrespeedtypers Showcase Website
Our website is pretty much done; there are better projects to work on than the quick little site we created. In the best-case scenario, we may stylize our website a bit more and even create more pages containing more information about ourselves.
