Inspiration

Inspired by the need for better medication education, recognizing time constraints and other factors limit detailed explanations during consultations. The app empowers patients to log symptoms, medications, and notes over time to provide more comprehensive insights for healthcare providers.

What it does

MedInsight analyzes medications offering overviews, molecule visuals, mechanism of action, and safety info. It includes symptom tracking, patient notes, and generates health summaries with severity ratings and natural remedy suggestions, storing all data with timestamps using TigerData, Minimax to generate videos to share with Medical Practioners and enabling report sharing.

How we built it

Built using AWS Bedrock LLM for AI intelligence, BrightData for real-time data, Gladia for voice input, FAL for medication image and video generation, Redis to store reports and logs, and Stytch for secure user authentication and sign-in.

Challenges we ran into

We faced challenges integrating diverse AI tools and APIs, ensuring accurate medication understanding through images and real-time data, securely managing large amounts of medical data, and crafting an intuitive user experience for complex healthcare information

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We successfully created a multimodal AI platform combining voice, vision, real-time data, and robust authentication, delivering personalized health summaries with detailed understanding of medication through pictures and videos, natural remedies to relieve symptoms temporarily under medical intervention and detailed symptom tracking tailored to individual patients.

What we learned

We learned the critical role of integrating various data types securely, the challenge of maintaining privacy and compliance, and how AI technologies can significantly enhance patient education, enable symptom and medication summary report more like a pre-visit summarymmary notes and enable informed healthcare decision-making.

What's next for MedInsight

Next steps include expanding AI capabilities for predictive health insights, integrating telehealth services, and building community features to foster shared patient experiences and better support.
