MediLinker platform presented to you by 23 year old Martha Sachinda, matariro7@gmail.com located in Midrand, eve Sachinda aged 18, located in Midrand and Ethel mpofu located in Johannesburg, marchcyclon004 aged 19. The inspiration for this project started when we witnessed the healthcare disparities faced by the community in Johannesburg. Many people in this area struggle with limited access to medical facilities, specialists and timely healthcare services. We envisioned a solution that leverages technology to bridge the gap between providing equitable healthcare access to everyone regardless of their geographical location.

What it does

User registration and profile creation Patients and health professionals can sign up and provide basic information and verifying of identity, health care professionals set up profile to offer consultation and patients set up their medical history and preferences for services. Virtual consultations Booking appointment Video or text consultation and post consultation notes. electronic health records Remote monitoring and medical delivery devices Dietary planner , security and privacy and support and community engagement

How we built it

Through planning and research: we began with extensive research to understand the specific needs of our target users and to identify the list effective technology solutions. Technology stack: we chose a modern and scalable technology stack using react for the front end Node js and express for the back and MySQL for the database for video consultation we thought to using webtrc technology. Development: using visual studi code as our development environment. This approach allowed us to remain flexible and responsive to feedback.

Challenges we ran into

Technological hurdles such as integrating video consultations features and ensuring seamless real time communication. Data security implementation of robust security measures to protect sensitive healthcare data and information. User accessibility Regulatory compliance ensuring that the platform complies with healthcare regulations
