A Micro Credentialing System for Medicine

Inspiration

Healthcare professionals face demanding schedules and need continuous education to stay updated in their fields. Traditional learning methods often lack flexibility and engagement. MediLearn was inspired by the need for a modern, accessible, and motivating learning platform tailored to medical and health professionals.

What it does

MediLearn is a micro-learning platform that offers interactive, gamified courses designed to enhance medical knowledge and skills. Users can access courses at their convenience, learn at their own pace, and earn certifications to showcase their professional development. The platform keeps learners engaged through gamification features such as points, badges, and rewards.

How we built it

  • Backend: Built using Node.js, Express.js, mongoDB, JWT and Mongoose
  • Frontend: Built using Vite.js, React.js, NextUI components, TailwindCSS and Motion (for animations)

Challenges we ran into

  • Designing a user-friendly interface that accommodates the diverse expectations of medical professionals.
  • Ensuring the content is both engaging and accurate while meeting medical education standards.
  • Integrating gamification elements in a way that complements, rather than detracts from, the educational experience.
