Inspiration

My inspiration came from seeing older family members of mine struggle with the coordination required with modern games today. I realized that many of us who love and enjoy games today, began with simple browser or console games that taught us the basics of the coordination required to play such games.

What it does

Medieval Melee is a game where you control your character and avoid a boss character that bounces around the screen at increasing speeds.

How we built it

Built using Vanilla DOM, Canvas, and Webpack on Visual Studio Code

Challenges we ran into

Animating movement and implementing algorithm for boss movement

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Creating a game that introduces basic gaming concepts to early gamers

What we learned

The nuance of game making and the ever expanding ways to create games for people to enjoy.

What's next for Medieval Melee

Integration of stages with alternate boss movement and difficulty levels.
