Inspiration

In most of the countries, the medical system is completely messed up and full of hassels. Patients have to face multiple difficulties regarding paperwork, gathering different medical reports at different times and based on that reports, doctors schedule their examining slot. Sometimes due to high load time management becomes a big issue and the patient has to suffer.

What it does

MedicPortal is an ecosystem platform designed to provide users(medical patients) with their own paperless feedback about health issues, medical prescriptions, medical reports, medication details given by the doctor at one handy application. It has a variety of different tools that users can utilize for health purposes! In short - It is an All in One paperless Ecosystem. Doctors can post about medical problems, medications using the patient's id on the portal, Physicians can upload the results of a particular test e.g.(X-ray, blood test report) on the portal using the patient's id and a pharmacist can upload the medicines given to the patient.

Benefits to Patient: A patient can see the previous medications, reports, progress on an app rather than collecting a bunch of paper. There will be no hassle at all. The doctor can schedule the meeting asap as the reports are reflected on the patient's ID portal. The efficiency of the whole medical ecosystem will boost.

How we built it

We created a web application using HTML CSS Javascript and integrated the registration portal using PHP with MySQL.

Challenges we ran into

As we are all beginners in the team and this was our first hackathon, so we faced a lot of difficulties,

1. Time management as I (Aryan) from INDIA and the rest 3 participants are from Canada so it was the major one.
2. We had very less knowledge of the backend which took us the most time to fix the bugs, here the mentors helped us to resolve the issue.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Being beginners and from different backgrounds, we were able to create a prototype within the time, and solving a big problem of Medical hussel is our biggest accomplishment

What we learned

Teamwork and time management are our biggest learnings throughout.

What's next for CAhackers-MedicPortal

We will make a more professional portal and take this initiative to next level as this could help a lot medical patients.
