Inspiration
MediCompare was inspired by the difficulty people face when comparing medicine prices, available alternatives, and basic medicine information across different sources. We wanted to create a simple platform that makes this information easier to access and compare, helping users make more informed and cost-conscious healthcare decisions.
What We Learned
Through this project, we learned how to design a user-friendly healthcare platform, structure medicine-related data, implement search and comparison features, and focus on presenting information clearly. We also improved our skills in frontend development, API integration, responsive UI design, and problem-solving.
How We Built It
MediCompare was built as a web-based platform using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Bootstrap. We designed a responsive interface where users can search for medicines, compare available options, view prices and relevant information, and explore alternatives in a simple way.
Challenges We Faced
One of the main challenges was organizing medicine information in a clear and useful format while keeping the interface simple for users. We also faced challenges with integrating and managing data, designing responsive components, and ensuring that the comparison experience remained intuitive across different screen sizes.
Future Scope
We plan to enhance MediCompare with more reliable real-time medicine data, pharmacy availability, advanced medicine comparison, personalized recommendations, and additional healthcare features to make the platform more useful and accessible.
