What's next for MedicareAI : Self Health Diagnosis
Project Story
About the Project
The inspiration for MedicareAI stemmed from a desire to leverage technology for accessible healthcare. As a student passionate about AI and its applications, I saw an opportunity to create a platform that could provide preliminary health assessments to users, complementing professional medical advice. This project not only allowed me to apply my knowledge of AI and web development but also taught me the importance of user privacy and data security in healthcare technology.
What I Learned
Building MedicareAI was a valuable learning experience. I honed my skills in web development, particularly in integrating MongoDB for user data management. I also gained insights into the complexities of healthcare technology, including the need for accurate symptom analysis and the importance of user-friendly interfaces in healthcare applications.
How I Built the Project
I began by designing the user interface, ensuring it was intuitive and easy to navigate. I then implemented the backend functionality using Node.js and Express.js, integrating MongoDB Atlas for database management. The symptom analysis algorithm was a crucial component, requiring thorough testing and refinement to ensure accuracy.
Challenges Faced
One of the main challenges was ensuring the accuracy of the symptom analysis algorithm. I had to continuously update the algorithm based on feedback and new medical information. Additionally, integrating MongoDB for the first time posed challenges in terms of data modeling and querying.
Overall, MedicareAI has been a rewarding project, allowing me to apply my skills in a meaningful way and contributing to the advancement of healthcare technology. I look forward to further developing and enhancing this platform to make a positive impact on healthcare accessibility.
