These challenges inspired us to create a platform that empowers users to access healthcare services easily, privately, and securely, addressing both everyday and sensitive needs.

What it does Our web-based healthcare application is designed to provide a seamless and secure healthcare experience for both doctors and patients. Here's how it works:

For Doctors

Registration with Verification: Doctors can create profiles on the platform, specifying their specializations, availability, and consultation charges. All registrations are subject to document verification by the admin to ensure authenticity. Receiving Consultations: Once registered, doctors can view and manage consultation requests from patients. They can accept, reschedule, or decline requests based on their schedule. For Patients

Simple Registration Process: Patients can register on the platform by providing their basic details and nominating an emergency contact. Doctor Search and Booking: Patients can search for doctors based on specialization, availability, or ratings and book consultations directly. Symptom Checker: For minor health concerns, patients can input their symptoms into a built-in symptom checker. This feature offers recommendations for acute conditions, empowering users to take initial steps before consulting a doctor. Secret Consultations: Understanding the stigma and hesitation surrounding sensitive health issues, we offer a confidential consultation feature. Patients can book private sessions with specialists like andrologists or gynecologists to discuss concerns related to reproductive health in a secure and judgment-free environment. Emergency Assistance One of the standout features of our platform is the Emergency Assistance Button, which ensures help is always just a click away.

How It Works: Patients can press this button in case of an emergency, triggering an automated message or call to their nominated contact. This ensures their loved ones are alerted immediately, potentially saving lives in critical situations. Admin Panel The admin plays a vital role in ensuring the platform’s integrity and smooth operation by:

Verifying the credentials of doctors. Monitoring patient and doctor activity. Managing issues or disputes raised on the platform. This comprehensive approach makes our platform more than just a consultation service; it is a secure, empathetic, and accessible gateway to better healthcare. By combining practical features with privacy-first design, it addresses the diverse needs of patients and doctors alike.

How we built it Backend: Flask (Python) to handle authentication, route management, and database operations. Frontend: HTML, CSS, and Bootstrap for a responsive, user-friendly interface. Database: SQLite to store user profiles, doctor data, and consultation records. The development process was divided into modules to handle user roles (Doctor, Patient, Admin) and core functionalities like consultation booking and symptom checking.

Challenges we ran into Ensuring data privacy and security for sensitive consultations. Designing a workflow that is simple yet effective for both doctors and patients. Handling real-time updates, such as doctor availability and emergency alerts. Limited time to implement advanced features like AI-based symptom analysis.
