Inspiration

Medical documents (lab reports, discharge summaries, pathology results) contain critical information, but they're often dense, jargon-heavy, and inaccessible to patients. Even clinicians waste time parsing through verbose reports. We built MedicalDocAI to bridge this gap and democratize healthcare information.

What it does

MedicalDocAI is an AI-powered assistant that:

• Reads medical documents in text or PDF format
• Extracts key clinical findings, diagnoses, and lab values
• Summarizes complex medical information in plain language
• Generates actionable recommendations for patients and clinicians
• Makes healthcare information accessible to everyone

How we built it

• Frontend: Simple web interface for document upload
• Backend: Built on Raindrop platform for AI orchestration
• LLM Integration: Claude AI via Raindrop for intelligent document analysis
• Deployment: Vultr cloud infrastructure for reliable, scalable hosting
• Database: Document storage and retrieval for audit trails
