Inspiration

As a solo project, I wanted to create a tool that could assist individuals in understanding their health concerns better. The inspiration behind Medical Wizard came from my own experiences navigating through medical information online and realizing the need for a more accessible and user-friendly resource.

What it does

Medical Wizard is a chatbot designed to help users identify potential health conditions based on their symptoms and medical history. Users can input their name, age, gender, any pre-existing health conditions, and describe their symptoms. The chatbot then provides information on possible conditions, recommended follow-up actions, common medications, tests, and procedures.

How we built it

Using PartyRock's app creator, I built Medical Wizard by designing AI-powered widgets for text generation and user input. I crafted prompts to guide users through providing relevant information and connected these widgets to generate personalized responses based on the user's input.

Challenges we ran into

One of the main challenges faced during the development of Medical Wizard was fine-tuning the prompts to ensure they elicited clear and comprehensive information from users. Additionally, integrating the various components of the chatbot and ensuring seamless interactions posed technical challenges that required iterative testing and refinement.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I'm proud to have successfully developed Medical Wizard as a functional and user-friendly tool that can potentially empower individuals to take a more proactive approach to their health. Creating a chatbot capable of providing personalized health insights and recommendations represents a significant accomplishment in simplifying access to medical information.

What we learned

Through the process of building Medical Wizard, I gained valuable insights into prompt engineering, AI-powered widget configuration, and user-centric design principles. I also deepened my understanding of medical terminology and the importance of clear communication in healthcare applications.

What's next for Medical Wizard

In the future, I aim to enhance Medical Wizard's capabilities by incorporating more sophisticated AI algorithms for improved symptom analysis and condition identification. Additionally, I plan to expand the chatbot's database of medical conditions, treatments, and recommendations to provide users with even more comprehensive and accurate information.
