Inspiration
After surgery or treatment for serious conditions like organ transplants, many patients struggle with medication schedules, symptom tracking, and follow-up routines. We saw a gap in structured, accessible post-treatment care — especially for those who can't afford private nursing or frequent hospital visits. That’s where MediBloom was born — to act as a virtual nurse that supports safe, data-driven recovery at home. Also if we need any more help we can do chat with AI nurse on Video call.
What it does
MediBloom is a web app that guides patients through their post-treatment journey with personalized recovery plans. It helps users:
Track vitals (like BP, heart rate, temperature)
Receive medication reminders
Log symptoms and meals
Monitor recovery progress with charts
Alert caregivers if any warning signs appear
Generate downloadable health reports for doctors
Optionally include caregivers or family members in tracking
All tailored based on user input like procedure type, recovery goals, and diet preferences.
How we built it
Frontend: ReactJS with TailwindCSS for a clean, responsive UI
Backend: Supabase
Database: Supabase
Notifications: Web push via OneSignal
Charting: Recharts for progress visualization
Authentication: Supabase
VideoChat : Tavus
Challenges we ran into
Designing a flexible yet simple onboarding flow for multiple types of procedures
Creating a smart alert system that balances sensitivity and user fatigue
Ensuring medical accuracy while maintaining user-friendly language
Time constraints in wiring together UI and backend services cleanly
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Developed a working MVP with real-time reminders, logging, and charting
Built a fully responsive UI that's intuitive for both patients and caregivers
Designed a scalable data model to support multiple recovery types
Came up with a monetizable and socially impactful solution in limited time
