What MediAudit AI does
MediAudit AI reviews a medical bill with a vision-enabled document flow and Gemini 3 Flash. It flags charges that may deserve a closer look and explains the findings in plain language, with citations. A second-review agent checks findings before they are shown. The app also offers Spanish/plain-English explanations and points users toward charity-care and financial-assistance resources.
Who it is for
Patients and caregivers who need help understanding a bill and deciding what to ask a provider or billing office. The tool is intended to support review and navigation, not replace a billing professional or make medical decisions.
Technology
The existing web app uses Next.js/React and the Gemini API, including Gemini 3 Flash for document understanding and review.
Existing-work disclosure
MediAudit AI is pre-existing work, originally created on September 16, 2026, and has been submitted to other hackathons, including TechCommons Hacks V2 and InfinityX. This ML Empowerment entry presents the existing project; it does not claim new features built specifically for this event.
