Inspiration
We were inspired by the media entertainment system of the airplane experience and we wanted to mimic the experience to be optimized for those who cannot see
What it does
Our project guides the user through a navigatory experience to find media titles they want to listen to and reads it aloud to them
How we built it
We used Python and Kivy with a bunch of dependencies such as but not limited to selenium, webdriver, pyaudio, os and more.
Challenges we ran into
We ran into a huge issue with combining our back end code with our front graphical user interface code. Both were working fine independently of one another but once we tried to merge the two, we had to cut down on implementation to get them to run together.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We were proud that we were able to get the back end and front end to work so that it works as intended.
What we learned
We learned that it is hard to make an optimized program that fits all our functionality in just one day.
What's next for Media for All
We plan on optimizing Media for All to work with speech input properly with the GUI and then we plan to add other media options such as music and movies.
