Inspiration

A large body of evidence confirms that many people in the developing world go without health care from which they could benefit greatly. The poor in developing countries are even less likely than the better off to receive effective health care. A number of hospitals are now switching to electronic health record (EHR) software as their primary repository of patient files. It is time that everyone get proper access to healthcare and technology is the tool in achieving it.

What it does

This webapp is an attempt to provide users basic tools to maintain medical records, provide quick medication in absence of medical personnel and educate them about the importance of health insurance. The tools predict the disease based on basic symptoms and recommend the medicine and proper dosage to tackle the situation temporarily. Also, it can predict the average annual health insurance premium based on basic factors such as age, bmi etc. Finally we have a dashboard where users can login and view their heath records whenever needed so that it can be used when medical facility is accessible.

What's next for MediCaretaker

This web app is still in its rudimentary state and has potential to help many users across the world. The application can be integrated with a chatbot that can help users with basic queries during emergencies; The application can have a NLP model that can help visually disabled users with navigating over the interface.
