Inspiration

During the COVID-19 pandemic, lockdowns were announced all over the world. Even after lifting off of lockdowns people still avoided going outside due to the scare. People who had COVID-19 were advised to isolate themselves at home. This made it the need of the hour to create a platform where all the medical services are made available to everyone at their door with just one click.

What it does

MedHelpUs is a platform where people can predict diseases and stay connected with all the medical facilities virtually. If there is someone who wants to get an online appointment with the doctor, or order medicines at home, or need nurse support at home, or need to book a vaccination slot or anything you can think of in the medical field is available with just one click.

How we built it

This web app was developed using Flask Web Framework and was deployed on the Heroku server. The models used to predict the diseases were trained on Large Datasets. The web app can predict the following Diseases:

• Diabetes
• Breast Cancer
• Heart Disease
• Kidney Disease
• Liver Disease
• Malaria
• Pneumonia

• Since the datasets were large, the testing and deployment was very difficult
• Getting an appreciable accuracy

  Even after the challenges, we were successfully able to deploy the project on Heroku and got an amazing accuracy
