Inspiration

MedGO is an interactive web-based application inspired by today's food delivery app and the idea of delivering medicine/ drugs to the front door

What it does

MedGO provides 3 main lines of services:

  • Participant Service: The participant in the DCTs (decentralised clinical trials) will be able to schedule a delivery of the drugs they have already signed up for clinical trials as well as track the delivery on its way. In addition, an "urgent" button is added for emergency steps
  • Distributor Service: The distributor must own an account to log in and manage the information of their participants and the deliveries. They also can update the process of preparation and delivery which will be shown through the "delivery track" button on the "participant" page.
  • Driver Service: The deliverer will have the access to today's deliveries with the information of the participant retrieved from the database and confirmed after delivery.

How we built it

We decide to build a website as a front-end source for clients to use and interact with. A back-end database has to be built to store the information updated from participants. The distributors also use the database to keep an eye on the dates of deliveries and other information about the participants. The distributors take the responsibility to update the delivery to the customer by ticking the pre-built button linked to the participant page. Another page is built for the deliverer with a sorted table of deliveries by date.

Challenges we ran into

Since it is a solo project, I do not have enough time to accomplish the idea. I lack back-end knowledge and am also new to front-end development. Learning to code and code in 24h is a fun but tough experience.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We have launched our front-end page with all the desired links and buttons. As a new developer in front-end development, I have launched a page on the local server is a kind of success for me.

What we learned

We learned a lot about building a website from front-end to back-end. New languages as HTML and CSS learnt

What's next for MedGO

We keep develop the back-end part
