Inspiration

After looking into all three companies, supermemory is what drew me in the most. I felt the most confident with it, and my personal tech stack is also TS and Python. I've built entire full-stack applications with it, so it was nice to be able to use it. I also liked the company history, especially how the founder started by building a project a week. It's cool to see someone who didn't just let his idea stay in a GitHub repo or put it on a resume.

What it does

Right now, it's a one-feature platform, but it has the potential to become a full, centralized health hub for both clinics and customers.

How we built it

For building, we used all types of tools. It was cool looking through the documentation and trying to find out how to work with things. Understanding the API as a proxy was helpful—even though it's much more than a proxy, thinking of it that way can help you build on top of it.

Challenges we ran into

Compliance was a big issue, and finding a way around it was pretty fun and challenging as well.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We did find a way around the compliance issue, and I'm very happy because it's a real, long-term solution to the problem, not just a rushed one.

What we learned

This project is pretty basic, but with what I know now, I feel like I'd be able to build much more with the API.

What's next for MedeSense

It could become a full centralized health hub that could do everything, like schedule appointments, find in-network providers, help you answer medical questions, and get you in touch with doctors during emergencies.
