Inspiration

It had come to our notice that a lot of people struggle to understand complex medical documents. This is challenging for senior citizens, who often turn to Google or ask multiple people for help, leading to confusion, chaos and panic. Out AI addresses this issue by explaining medical reports in simple, understandable terms at the user's pace. Which in turn causes a decrease in the gap between doctors and patients, helping users understand blood reports and other medical documents. Additionally, the AI brings to the user's attention when it’s necessary to visit a doctor promptly. It can also translate medical documents into their convenient languages, ultimately resulting in reduced panic and confusion. This way, users are less likely to jump to conclusions and feel scared over minor fluctuations in their medical reports.

What it does

The AI breaks down complex medical documents like blood reports and medicine prescriptions into native languages, reads them aloud in those native languages, explains them at the user's own pace, and clarifies all the doubts they have—since most doctors cannot always clarify a patient's doubts every time they arise. Many patients panic after minor changes in their blood reports, causing chaos and confusion as they tend to gather data from Google and other people. Our AI tells the user whether it is an urgent matter or if it is not something to panic about, letting them relax and simply contact their doctor when they like, or advising them if they should contact them as soon as possible

How we built it

We built it using HTML, CSS and JavaScript in VS Code with the help of ChatGPT and Gemini

Challenges we ran into

We faced multiple challenges like code errors, API integration errors, high school timings, and time management between homework and project-making.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud of accomplishments like submitting the project on time and getting qualified for the hackathon part, as well as things like the chat history, which keeps a history of the user's data and can retrieve it when required and also compares data of the past blood reports and the improvement in the person's health, which overall can help the user track their improvement too.

What we learned

We Learnt by having a hands-on experience on solving and finding problems which affect millions and creating and ideating products which can be helpful for billions and make many people's lives easier. We also learnt how to use and build with AI technologies making software and websites integrated with AI.

What's next for MeDecode

In the future we plan to add features like a common dashboard for families to check and care for each other. We also plan to add cloud database which would store data for all the users
