Our friend, Ethan, remembered a problem that many people had at his friend’s parent’s medical clinic. A lot of elderly had a hard time filling out these important medical forms that were crucial for their health. This overwhelmed the nurses working at the clinic because they had to spend the time to help these elderly understand and read the form. This inspired us to make an app that fixes this problem. We decided to make an app that takes a pdf of a medical form and goes through the questions one by one. It explains each question to them through speech so that they don’t have a hard time reading. The elderly can speak to the app in order to answer the questions because elderly often are not tech savvy and don’t know how to type. We used an aws ai agent to help the elderly understand the form they are filling out.
