Inspiration

We’ve all been there—getting those WhatsApp forwards from the aunty who swears by drinking turmeric water to ‘boost your immune system’ or viral Reels promising abs in 7 days with zero effort. And don’t even get me started on the influencers selling hair serums that ‘guarantee’ you’ll have a full head of hair overnight. Oh, and the fitness ‘before and after’ deepfakes that look more like a Photoshop tutorial than a real transformation. During the COVID infodemic, misinformation spread faster than the virus itself—fake cures, conspiracy theories, and miracle treatments everywhere. With so much misinformation flooding our feeds, how do we separate fact from fiction?

We tackle everything from viral videos and fake COVID cures to the fitness industry’s fake 'before and after' transformations (because yes, those abs might just be a result of clever editing). With MedBuster, you can easily fact-check any claim in seconds. No more falling for those 'too good to be true' promises or myth-filled forwards. We provide real, science-backed facts at your fingertips, so you can stay informed and laugh at the nonsense instead of falling for it. How we built it

MedBuster leverages advanced AI and Natural Language Processing (NLP) to detect and verify health misinformation. We verified the claims against authoritative reserach papers and medical sources, using algorithms that analyze text, images, and videos. By incorporating image recognition and computer vision models the system can cross-reference claims with scientific databases in real-time. We also integrated NLP to detect subtle nuances in language, ensuring we can spot misleading claims in posts, forwarded messages, and images. MedBuster combines the power of AI to provide fast, accurate, and reliable fact-checking for all health-related misinformation.
