Inspiration

We noticed the rising prevalence of polypharmacy in Singapore, especially among the elderly, and wanted to create a solution that helps them manage their medications safely and effectively.

What it does

MedBuddy is a pocket-sized medication management app designed to simplify tracking for seniors. It features photo-based medication logging, smart reminders, and accessibility tools that empower elderly users to stay on top of their prescriptions with ease.

How we built it

We designed the prototype on Figma and developed presentation materials using Canva to showcase our solution.

Challenges we ran into

Our biggest challenge was identifying the real gaps in the healthcare system and innovating a solution that could directly address those needs while remaining user-friendly for seniors.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud to have created a meaningful solution through teamwork. Despite coming from diverse backgrounds—students and working adults—we collaborated effectively to identify a critical problem and build a practical solution.

What we learned

We learned about the gaps in healthcare accessibility and the importance of designing solutions that are both practical and empathetic to the needs of vulnerable groups such as the elderly.

What's next for medbuddy

We hope to further develop MedBuddy into a real, functional application and ultimately support seniors in Singapore in managing their medications more confidently and independently.
