MedBridge: Bridging Care, Connecting Pharmacies 1. Inspiration In urgent healthcare situations, timely access to vital pharmaceuticals is often a matter of life and death. Patients and caregivers frequently face the exhausting task of visiting multiple brick-and-mortar pharmacies during emergency hours only to find that required medications are out of stock. At the same time, local and independent pharmacies often struggle with inventory turnover and lack a direct, real-time channel to communicate availability to nearby patients in need. MedBridge was inspired by the conviction that modern mobile engineering can eliminate the friction between supply and demand in local healthcare ecosystems. We set out to build an accessible, real-time mobile platform that connects patients, local pharmacies, and administrators on a single coordinated grid. 2.
