Post-Submission Notes for MediAssist AI
Due to time constraints and Devpost’s 5-minute video limit, I wasn’t able to showcase all the key features of MediAssist AI in the demo. Here are a few important aspects that were either abbreviated or omitted:
- Normal Text Input/Output: Supported in both online and offline modes.
- Offline File Upload & Processing: Enabled through Glow-TTS for faster, efficient performance.
Multilingual Voice Support
The first question in the demo was asked in Hindi:
“सर में दर्द है तो क्या करना चाहिए?”
(“What should I do for a headache?”)
MediAssist AI responded with a spoken list of suggested remedies, demonstrating its ability to handle voice-based interaction in Hindi, including both input and output.
Offline Mode (Brief Appearance)
The original recording was over 5 minutes long and included a more complete demo of the offline mode. To meet the time limit, I had to trim this section.
As a result, there is a visible transition in the video from offline to online mode near the conclusion. The final spoken conclusion was delivered in online mode, but no outputs were shown during that part. Any abrupt transitions, such as the switch from offline to online, are due to editing constraints, not a flaw in the app.
