✨ Inspiration In India, millions of patients struggle with post-OPD care, especially in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities where medical follow-ups are fragmented and chronic conditions often go unchecked. Our inspiration came from real stories of patients whose conditions worsened due to lack of personalized monitoring or misaligned treatments.

We envisioned Medantra as a bridge — a way to empower doctors with clinical clarity and give patients accessible, AI-backed guidance for their ongoing care.

💡 What it does Medantra is an AI-powered platform that turns patient notes and updates into clear, structured clinical insights. By integrating Sonar API, it reads through raw patient data and produces actionable summaries for:

Doctors to align treatments

Patients to track progress

Caregivers to stay informed

It supports second-opinion generation, chronic condition tracking, and remote care planning for the elderly.

🛠 How we built it We combined the power of:

Sonar API – for summarizing clinical text and generating diagnosis clarity

Lyzr AI Agents – for intelligent prompts and conversational insights

Supabase – as our backend and real-time data layer

Lovable – to rapidly design and deploy the frontend

TailwindCSS & ShadCN – for clean and responsive UI

We mapped out the complete user journey from OPD visit to remote monitoring, using prompt chaining and API orchestration to keep the system intelligent yet explainable.

🧱 Challenges we ran into Prompt precision: Medical terms and local expressions often confused the AI, requiring deep iterations.

Data ambiguity: Patient inputs (especially from caregivers) were inconsistent, demanding NLP tuning.

Time constraint: Achieving a fully functional MVP in under 48 hours while ensuring patient safety was a race against time.
