Inspiration
We were inspired by the problems that we have identified in the current healthcare systems of South Africa. The most prominent problems being the overloading of hospitals. We found that when hospitals are full many patients cannot be attended to efficiently or effectively which may lead to delays in treatment and recovery.
What it does
Med-Hub tackles the United Nations "Good Health and Well-Being" (SDG 3). It is an innovative healthcare app that streamlines the medical experience by providing virtual consultations, personalized medical advice, and timely medication delivery based on user profiles, including symptoms, medical history, and insurance information. It enhances healthcare accessibility and convenience, especially for those with busy schedules or mobility issues, by reducing the need for physical visits. With secure, HIPAA-compliant data storage and real-time updates, Med-Hub ensures accurate and efficient care coordination. The app aims to improve patient outcomes and satisfaction by making high-quality healthcare services readily accessible to everyone, including those in remote areas.
