Inspiration

The idea came from observing how scattered digital healthcare services are. Users often need separate apps for booking appointments, finding emergency help, or accessing mental health support. I wanted to create a single, unified platform that makes healthcare more accessible, efficient, and user-friendly.

What it does

Med Connect is a web platform that combines essential healthcare services such as appointment booking, ambulance requests, AI-based disease prediction, and mental health support—all in one place. It aims to simplify the healthcare experience for both patients and doctors by offering everything in a single, easy-to-use interface.

How we built it

Frontend: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Bootstrap for responsive and clean UI Backend: PHP for server-side functionality and logic Database: MySQL for managing user data, appointments, ambulance requests, and symptom-based predictions Features Included: Appointment booking system One-click ambulance request AI-powered symptom checker Mental health tools and resources

Challenges we ran into

Designing a flexible database structure that could support multiple healthcare services Implementing a disease prediction logic that was useful but not overly complex Maintaining a good balance between UI design and functionality Ensuring smooth integration between frontend and backend for all features
