Fever is among the most prevalent symptoms of Covid-19 [1]. However, fever does not necessarily lead to morbidity.

Given the restrictive measures to contain the virus, supermarkets and convenience stores are likely to become the most densely frequented areas within the next weeks. As a result, these areas will be a fertile environment for the spread of the virus.

Therefore, measuring the temperature of customers at the entrance of supermarkets is an effective precautionary measure that can be implemented cheaply.

Individuals with fever should not be granted access to the supermarket. These individuals should be offered assistance in obtaining their groceries and (if necessary) informed on where they can be tested for Covid-19.

While the video attached is not mine, it illustrates beautify a measure implemented in China which could also be introduced in Germany.
