Inspiration
We wanted to give new ideas and food meal options, especially to dietary restricted people or overweight people. Not only does it aim to help people in our families or communities, but we can connect to people nationwide to help obesity rates go down. It’s all about the food options, and with fun, easy to make, and healthy foods, we want people to be impacted all across the nation.
What it does
It generates breakfast, lunch, and dinner based on dietary restrictions. It provides healthier options and simple recipes for individuals.
How we built it
Using Visual Studio Code 3 and the java programming language, we created a MealPlanner project that tailors to helping obesity rates go down. We have an arraylist that cycles through different foods, and so keeps the menus with plentiful varieties.
Challenges we ran into
We needed to understand specific data types to use, or best recipe options that are actually healthy.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Code efficiency, real time menus that are delicious, and specific to a person’s dietary restrictions.
What we learned
We learnt about ArrayLists, try and catch, how to use classes, and use methods across different classes.
What's next for MealPlanner™
We want to use machine learning, add more features, make new predictions as people show preferences for cuisines and food types, and include a GUI (Graphical User Interface).
