Inspiration

Wanting to help people who are homeless get fresh food, something that is not always available to them.

What it does

Creates a network of refrigerated vending machines throughout the city where anyone from local businesses to just an individual person can donate any type of food. Anyone that has applied and qualified to receive food from these machines are able to do so.

How we built it

Challenges we ran into

Trying to create a full web application with a back and front end. Looking at how realistic this would be.

What we learned

It is indeed legal for food businesses to donate food but not many do so, mostly for lack of availability of programs or organization. How to create functionality in a prototype that mimics working software.
