Inspiration
In order to help with our organization in our busy schedules, we thought a place where you can listen to lofi and keep track of all your assignments would benefit us all.
What it does
You have the option of creating a to-do list, seeing a calendar (not completed), and playing loft music while a real-time clock is displayed.
How we built it
We build this website using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. We also used hex color codes, and learned different formatting skills within these languages.
Challenges we ran into
Learning how to use new languages, such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. The group's main language is C/C++, so it was definitely a challenge learning how to utilize these new languages to create a website demonstrating our ideas.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We created a login page where the user can enter a username and a hidden password, one thing we wanted to learn to utilize in our classes. Another accomplishment would be having something somewhat organized in such different languages than we are used to.
What we learned
We learned about how to use web development tools and how to put together a simple website. We also learned how to mess with design functions and audio functions.
What's next for MCS² - Study Buddy
If we had more time, we would get to implement the calendar function, and find a way to save the to do lists in an ordered fashion based on due date. Another thing we wanted to attempt is to have a timer that gives advice to the user every few hours, such as "take a break" or "do yoga".
