Mazk is our solution to ensure covid-19 precautions in most public places in the most non-contact way possible. Our non-contact apparatus will automatically screen people with symptoms. Which eliminates the need for contact with the middlemen as well. This hardware will be integrated with our app which will indicate which places are crowded and which places to avoid.

What it does

Our solution is an integration of hardware and software. You can sign up in the app via as a client to view vendors around you. A vendor needs hardware to integrate his functioning of the app. The hardware has thermal detection, mask detection and counts the number of people entering a given area. All these details get updated in the app real-time so that the user can view it and gauge where he has to go. Further a schedule is also built for the user stating the idea times one can visit given locations in the duration of the day.

How we built it

We have a rendered fusion 360 design of our entire hardware. Our mask detection model uses open cv and tensor flow and is running on the rpi. We have also added thermal detection along with the counting the number of people entering a given area. The app which is linked to all this is built on flutter and proves to be the ideal interface for the end consumer as well as the shop owner.

Integrating both software and hardware. Updating the values real-time on the firebase database.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are very proud of all that we have achieved in the duration of this hack. We were able to integrate both hardware and software successfully and linked it to a firebase back end.

What we learned

We learned how to integrate the data received from the rpi and the app to firebase. We also learned how to update and implement all this real time.

What's next for Mazk

We hope to add a tokens system as well to the app so that people can wait their turn before entering a given location. We also hope to deploy this system in the local shops around us and have planned a business model for the same with three models, silver, gold and platinum.
