Inspiration

Hot and Cold bottom bar that shows how far from the solution players are.

What it does

Escape maze by getting information from other players - the number on them says how far THEY are from exit.

How we built it

Watched a video on "Build Your First Reddit Game with AI" and then Antigravity, Gemini CLI and Claude Code. Reading https://developers.reddit.com/docs when got stuck or needed more info (about inline apps, Lighthouse testing). Mazes are generated using mixed algorithms maximizing challenge and fun.

Challenges we ran into

Realtime glitches / sync. Probably the result of hard vibe coding. Also weather and climate based on limited user data (time zone only).

Accomplishments that we're proud of

This is my first Reddit game. And I'm proud that I could go from an idea to a finished product so fast. Proud to get a good performance and short-time-to-play for players (onboarding). Also I like the "season and day time" system based on limited info (I did not want to ask geolocation info from users) - it is a small thing but I hope users will appreciate it. Paintings also cool.

What we learned

Maybe RTFM first, set project up yourself and understand the "pieces" better BEFORE going in all in with AI. Could save some time there and quality. But then again - I might have never started without AI and could not go so fast. There is a balance.

What's next for Mazenda

Testing with a good amount of players. I really wanted to add a feature where players who escaped can bet on the other players - like racehorses. So maybe in the future.
