What's next for Mav-i-Gator

Mav-i-Gator is a web-based campus navigation application that helps students, faculty, and visitors explore and move around the university with ease. It provides an interactive campus map (pan, zoom, clickable buildings), search for classrooms, offices, facilities, and events, and will also show location details such as office hours and amenities. The web-app will support shortest-path routing between campus points, bookmarking of frequently used places/routes, and basic notifications for events or closures. Integration of AI-powered features (LLM) will enable natural-language queries like “Where is the nearest cafeteria?” or “When does the library close?”, which will be facilitated by combining map and event data. Built with modern web technologies and campus map APIs, Mav-i-Gator is responsive on desktop and mobile and will be developed iteratively through short sprints.
