Inspiration
We looked at many existing apps that have incentivized users to stay engaged in their apps and tried to frame that in a way that could be beneficial towards non-profit organisations.
What it does
We created a redesign of the WWF app that is not just more engaging, but incentivizes users to take action and be a part of the causes that the WWF supports. This could be from fundraising to volunteer efforts that the user can take part in.
How we built it
We built it with Figma backed with the research that we have done to help with our design choices in understanding the needs of non-profit organisations and how it can translate into our mobile app design.
Challenges we ran into
Time management was a challenge due to the limited amount of time that we had, as is the nature of hackathons, or in this case product-thon.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Being able to make it this far with the limited constraints of time was a big accomplishment as several members of the team were new to Figma and it was a learning process for them as well.
What we learned
Working fast and efficiently as a team was something we learned a lot on throughout this event.
What's next for Matoto CISSA Product-thon
Looking forward to more product-thons with even more people.
