Inspiration

This was Ellie's idea that had sprung from a conversation she had with her mom.

What it does

This web app is specifically designed to troll cheaters who use a site called Mathway.com to find answers to math questions that they have. Instead of giving them a solution to their problem, we display a meme instead. :)

How we built it

For the development of the app, we used Kintone to create our web database that holds all the links to the pictures. To access the database we used the Kintone REST api. To connect our frontend to our backend, we decided to use Flask. For our frontend we used HTML, CSS, Javascript, and jQuery. To collaborate and work together as a team we used VS Code Live Share Extension and Repl.it to share and edit code at the same time.

Challenges we ran into

One of the hardest challenges in doing this project was using Flask to connect our database from Kintone REST api to our front-end.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

We are proud to have worked as a team to make a working and finished product.

What I learned

We learned how to use so may tools and resources like: Kintone Rest api and Flask. We also used VS Code Live Share and repl.it for the first time to collaborate more easily on the code.

What's next for mathwae

We would like to take this project further by adding more math functions to make it look more believable and we would also like to make other pranking websites.
